Bismihi Ta`ala
*UPKEEP OUR EXTERNAL BEAUTY-Part 1.**It is a shar`ee obligation for us to keep our external appearance respectful and descent. Men should wear such clothing that will not open satr(between navel and knees) in salaah postures, not covering the ankles with trousers/kurtas and not being pompous in style. Women should be completely covered, descent and respectful when leaving home. They should not beautify themselves when leaving home, but rather they should beautify themselves at night for the husband. The beloved prophet Swalallahou `Alaihi Wasallam used to say upon good clothing and the need for good looking: ‘’Allah Ta`ala is beautiful and He likes beauties.’’(Sahih Muslim)*صحيح مسلم – (عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍعَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَا يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ مَنْ كَانَ فِي قَلْبِهِ مِثْقَالُ ذَرَّةٍ مِنْ كِبْرٍ قَالَ رَجُلٌ إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ يُحِبُّ أَنْ يَكُونَ ثَوْبُهُ حَسَنًا وَنَعْلُهُ حَسَنَةً قَالَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ جَمِيلٌ يُحِبُّ الْجَمَالَ الْكِبْرُ بَطَرُ الْحَقِّ وَغَمْطُ النَّاسِ
*In another occasion, he said: ‘’Allah Ta`ala likes when He sees his favours being exposed out upon his servant.’’ Tirmizi. That is, if you have the means, then express it by wearing good clothing in society.*
But respectful, descent and new clothings times to times. My teacher, Hazrat Qari Ayoob Ishaaq damat barakatuhou first told us in class that it is good to express the wealth that Allah Ta`ala has given you by wearing beautiful descent clothes. He has indeed not taught only taught us that hadith, but he has also impacted on us this sunnah of beauties until now. You see, there is an impact upon taking care of the sunnah of Rasouloullah Swalallahou `Alaihi Wasallam upon our body. Stay simple and beautiful.**Allah Ta`ala prescribe spending upon our spouse/family according to our wealth capacity:*
*A wealthy man should spend accordingly to the extent of his wealth. One whose sustenance is limited should spend from whatever Allah Ta`ala has given him.(Surah 65:7)**So, a father should spend upon his wife and children according to his wealth capacity. Although the wife is rich, the husband should not neglect spending on her. Because it is her right that the Qur-aan has prescribed. But nothing extravagant that will indebt us in future or cause a difficult finance situation.**Also we should spend upon our dependent parents or other family members.* *Keep this beauty of Islam and upkeep the external beauty of the family life. The beloved prophet Swalallahou `Alaihi Wasallam used to say that the best spending of sawaab is done when you are healthily wealthy(not on dying bed). So start with spending on your dependant family members-Bukhari*
صحيح البخاري – ()قال أخبرني سعيد بن المسيب أنه سمع أبا هريرة رضي الله عنه عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال خير الصدقة ما كان عن ظهر غنى وابدأ بمن تعول
*Rasouloullah Swalallahou `Alaihi Wasallam sometimes refused waqf of a land for Allah and would told Abu Talhah r.a. to rather distribute the valuable property to his family members-Bukhari.*صحيح البخاري – (قام أبو طلحة إلى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم فقال يا رسول الله إن الله تبارك وتعالى يقول{ لن تنالوا البر حتى تنفقوا مما تحبون }وإن أحب أموالي إلي بيرحاء وإنها صدقة لله أرجو برها وذخرها عند الله فضعها يا رسول الله حيث أراك الله قال فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم بخ ذلك مال رابح ذلك مال رابح وقد سمعت ما قلت وإني أرى أن تجعلها في الأقربين فقال أبو طلحة أفعل يا رسول الله فقسمها أبو طلحة في أقاربه وبني عمه*The beauty of Islam upkeep the picture of leaving the family members wealthy and grateful before we die.**Rasouloullah Swalallahou `Alaihi Wasallam said:*‘’*It is better to leave your inheritors wealthy. (Better than spending your whole wealth in charity) and then leave your family poor and beggars to the society.’’Bukhari*– (صحيح البخاري – (17 / 415)قال لا قلت بالشطر قال لا قلت الثلث قال الثلث كثير أن تدع ورثتك أغنياء خير من أن تذرهم عالة يتكففون الناس*Do spend for the deen of Allah, do construct masjids, do all the necessary Zakaat and charities. But do also look after the family spending.*
