The moderate ummah-part 2

Bismihi Ta`ala*THE MODERATE UMMAH-PART 2.*

*Allah Ta`ala has created us with means against logic. Mud, water and soul breath directly from Allah Ta`ala. Then Allah Ta`ala nurtured us in the womb environment without exterior access. In the closed darkness of the mother`s womb, Allah Ta`ala has perfected our body, our veins, our interior organs and our bones. After birth, the baby need mother`s milk. The first days of milk, the baby need more nutrients for his new development in the breathing world. So Allah Ta`ala has given him the best of milk nourishment: colostrum.*

*As the human grows up, he is taught that he should later on be independent, self sufficient and productive for his living. The child path his way to earn his living somehow. The sunnah teaches us moderation in this quest of earning a living. That is it should not be an obsession. But it should be done with a moderate dose*.

*Firstly, a child should be taught to live on ONLY halaal earnings. It is part of Tawakkul to teach a child to earn some money for him to be a responsible muslim da`ee and parent tomorrow.*

*Reported in Bukhari that the beloved prophet Swalallahou `Alaihi Wasallam said that all prophets that Allah Ta`ala has sent were made to shepherd sheep for some time. The companions of the prophet asked Him whether He also did shepherd? Rasouloullah Swalallahou `Alaihi Wasallam answered that he used to look after the sheep of people of Makkah for some money.*

*This is not mainly for earnings. But rather a leadership management and also to learn patience over refusals. Sheep are passive but follow their own wish to eat. So on one hand the shepherd need an eye over them, direct them. And learn that they will follow some instructions and ignore other instructions. So even if the herd goes away from instructions, then the shepherd should accompany them to later on bring them on the straight path. This is wisdom. So be with the group and try to make them follow the best instruction as far as possible*.

*All this is to instruct the to-be prophet to later on tolerate people`s negation and keep after them and also a constructive group leadership.*

*The Uncle of Rasouloullah Swalallahou `Alaihi Wasallam, Abu Talib, took rasoullullah SAW with him during his business trips to Shaam(Jordan). This contributed for the prophet SAW to be a good honest businessman during His youth. And then finally work for our mother Khadijah r.a. and finally marry her and having  almost all His children with her.*

*Nonetheless, an effort should be done towards educating the child to earn a living. And together he should be taught that his living depends on his 5 times daily salaah. His rizq will be easy when he pray his/her salaahs on time. We should teach our children that when he/she prays Fajr, then he would be in the responsibility and protection of Allah.(Muslim) One who pray Fajr Salaah and go to his work place, then he has taken the flag of Imaan with him. Without Fajr, then one will take the flag of Shaitaan to his work place.(Mishkaat; Ibn Majah*)

*After Salaah is the effort. Better to set for work by reading 2 rakaats in the Masjid.*

*Once a sahabah was going out for a business trip to Bahrain. He came to meet Rasouloullah Swalallahou `Alaihi Wasallam to inform Him. Rasouloullah SAW told him to pray 2 rakaats(Tabrani).*

*The beloved prophet Swalallahou Alaihi Wasallam said: ‘’The obligation after religious obligations is to look for Halaal earnings.’’(Tabrani)*

*The crux is that we should look for rizq without greed. There were many sahabahs that were very rich while others would spend their wealth thouroughly.*

*We will continue on the issue Insha Allah.* Mufti Mackoojee+23057921333
