Isaale Sawaab do reach the deceased muslim.

 Bismihi Ta`ala

*ISAALE SAWAAB DO REACH THE DECEASED MUSLIM.*

*The effects of good actions will benefit the living definitely and also benefit the dead muslim if intention was done for them.* This is proven by different ahadith of Bukhari, Muslim and other books. We mention a few here:

Reported in Bukhari that the mother of Sa`d ibn `Ubadah r.a. passed away and then he decided to give his garden in charity for the isaale sawaab of her mother.(Bukhari)

Reported in Muslim that when a person dies, then all his actions stop to be written except these three: A sadaqah that is still beneficial, an Islamic education that is still partaken  and a pious child making dua for him.(Muslim)

Reported from a sahih hadith of Tabrani that one who establish a good action that is followed by others, then these sawaab will reach him during his life and *ALSO AFTER HIS DEATH*, until no one left to practice upon it. Same rule for bad actions also.(Tabrani)

Also reported sahih that Ibn Umar r.a. said that after his burial, the beginning and ending parts of Surah Baqarah be read by his qabr. This reading of Qur-aan by Qabr changed the opinion of Imaam Ahmad and also referred to as a hadith. (Baihaqi; Tabrani; Durre Mansoor;Sharhe Tahawi-Rajihi)

*So Sunnah to read the beginning ayahs until muflihoun by the head side of the qabr and the lillahi mafis samawati until the end of Baqarah by the feet of the qabr.*

The above are proofs that Qur-aan can be read in Qabrastaan. All these means that a muslim continue to receive the reward of actions even after death. This opens up the doors of Isaale sawaab of reading Qur-an, gifting them the sawaab of nafil salaahs, nafil fasting, gifting tasbeeh and tahleel, giving sadaqah on their names, making umrah for them, etc.

Finally the ayah of the Qur-aan meaning that one will not carry anyone`s burden etc means that someone`s action done for himself will not benefit others.

Insha Allah next, we will develop the collective Isaale sawaab issue, whatsApp group distributing quran reading, etc. I take the opportunity of the Mubarak time of Ramadhaan to develop such pertinent issues. At this particular time, I am thinking of my ustaad, Qari Ayoob Ishaq d.b. May Allah Ta`ala showers His mercy over him and his family altogether. He showed us the way to Qur-aan recitation and value Ramadhaan time.
