*Bismihi Ta’ala*
*Enjoy what you have.*
*The sunnah teaches us to be satisfied with what Allah Ta’ala has given us.*
*Rasouloullah swalallahou alaihi wasallam said:* *‘’When someone wakes up in the morning in a healthy body, safe in his house/family and he has enough food for the day, then this person has been blessed with all the possible bounties of this world.’’(Ibn Majah)*
*Reported in Musannaf ibn abi shaibah that one who earn a halaal living to prevent oneself from begging others, and to provide for his family and to spend on his neighbour, then he will meet Allah Ta’ala with a face shining like the full moon. But one who work to accumulate wealth and to show off , then he will meet Allah Ta’ala such that Allah Ta’ala will be angry with him.*
*Unfortunately greed for accumulation of more wealth drives us in an endless unsatisfiable pursuit of dunya. Until we are lowered bare handed, in our kafans, in our Qabrs.*
*Allah Ta’ala said: ***”You are distracted by mutual competition in amassing (worldly benefits), until you finally reach the graves.”*(102:1-2)
*In matters of deeni knowledge and peak spiritual achievements, we are called to aim high and continue look for increment and expansion and continue saying:*
“*And say: O My Lord! Improve me in knowledge.*(20:114)
*Whereas in matters of wealth, living standards and sustenance, the sunnah calls us to be satisfied with what we have:*
*Rasouloullah Swalallahou Alaihi Wasallam used to make this Du’as: *”*O Allah, make me content with the provision that You have given me and put blessings in it for me and appoint good for me in every thing which I do not have.”*
*And Rasouloullah Swalallahou Alaihi Wasallam used to “seek protection against a soul that is never satisfied.”*(Muslim)
*So be content and satisfied with what Allah Ta’ala has given you and thank Him in all conditions. This is the secret of life enjoyment and happiness.*
