Bismihi Ta’ala

 حَدَّثَنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنا إسْرائِيلُ، عَنْ مَنصُورٍ، عَنْ خالِدِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، قالَ: خَرَجْنا ومَعَنا غالِبُ بْنُ أبْجَرَ فَمَرِضَ فِي الطَّرِيقِ، فَقَدِمْنا المَدِينَةَ وهُوَ مَرِيضٌ، فَعادَهُ ابْنُ أبِي عَتِيقٍ، فَقالَ لَنا: عَلَيْكُمْ بِهَذِهِ الحُبَيْبَةِ السَّوْداءِ، فَخُذُوا مِنها خَمْسًا أوْ سَبْعًا فاسْحَقُوها، ثُمَّ اقْطُرُوها فِي أنْفِهِ بِقَطَراتِ زَيْتٍ، فِي هَذا الجانِبِ وفِي هَذا الجانِبِ، فَإنَّ عائِشَةَ، حَدَّثَتْنِي: أنَّها سَمِعَتِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ: «إنَّ هَذِهِ الحَبَّةَ السَّوْداءَ شِفاءٌ مِن كُلِّ داءٍ، إلّا مِنَ السّامِ» قُلْتُ: وما السّامُ؟ قالَ: المَوْتُبخاري
*A medical prescription from Ibn Abi Ateeq rahmatullah Alaihi: “Take 5 or 7 grains of black seed, crush them to mix with oil(olive). Then drip  a few drops  in the right nostril and then same in the left nostril.”*(Bukhari)*Then he said that Rasouloullah Swalallahou Alaihi Wasallam said: “There is cure in black seed for all sicknesses except against a predestined death.”(Bukhari)*
*I found in hakeem books that the nostril drips of olive oil mixed with crushed kalounji/black seed is beneficial for many sicknesses including severe cough/flus and hence it should be beneficial for covid also insha Allah.*
حَدَّثَنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشّارٍ قالَ: حَدَّثَنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ قالَ: حَدَّثَنا عَبْدُ الحَمِيدِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ قالَ: حَدَّثَنِي عُتْبَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ أسْماءَ بِنْتِ عُمَيْسٍ، أنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ سَألَها: «بِمَ تَسْتَمْشِينَ؟» قالَتْ: بِالشُّبْرُمِ قالَ: «حارٌّ جارٌّ» قالَتْ: ثُمَّ اسْتَمْشَيْتُ بِالسَّنا، فَقالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ -[٤٠٩]- وسَلَّمَ: «لَوْ أنَّ شَيْئًا كانَ فِيهِ شِفاءٌ مِنَ المَوْتِ لَكانَ فِي السَّنا»سنن ترمذي
*Rasouloullah Swalallahou Alaihi Wasallam asked Asma binte Umais ra about what she used as laxative(against constipation). She replied: Shubrum(euphoria piteous- a plant). Rasouloullah Swalallahou Alaihi Wasallam said that Shubrum was hot  and too strong laxative. So she added: “I also use senna leaves” Then Rasouloullah swalallahou Alaihi Wasallam said: “Had there been something that can cure death, it would have been senna leaves .”(Tirmizi)*
*Hadith supported by Ibn Majah, Baihaqi, Musnad Ahmad and Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaibah.*
*Senna leaves  is a welll accepted medication for constipation and other uses used even by modern doctors.”*
*The above hadith shows the moderation sunnah on medication issues.*
