*THE TAWAKKUL ACCOMPANIED WITH PRECAUTIONS.*

*About more than 10 times, the Qur-aan has ordained us to put our trust in Allah Ta`ala:*وَعَلَى اللَّهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ *Believers should keep their trust only in Allah Ta`ala.(3:122)*

*And Allah Ta`ala has guaranteed His help and protection to the one who put trust in Him:*وَمَنْ يَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى اللَّهِ فَهُوَ حَسْبُه *‘’And whoever places his trust in Allah, then Allah is sufficient for him.’’(65:3)*

*Trust is in the heart. So the heart should only have trust in Allah and nothing else.*

*But know that the sunnah teaches us to accompany trust in Allah with a dose of means, even though very little. Taking the road of means does not negate the trust in Allah simply because Allah Ta`ala wish that we use means. The crux is that trust should not be in means, but rather in the Lord of means. The heart`s eye on Allah and labour the earth with your sweat. Go out to your business in the morning by putting your trust in Allah Ta`ala for the yields.*

*The beloved prophet Swalallahou `Alaihi Wasallam taught us to use means as part and parcel of Tawakkul on Allah:* حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْقَطَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا الْمُغِيرَةُ بْنُ أَبِي قُرَّةَ السَّدُوسِيُّ قَال سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يَقُولُقَالَ رَجُلٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَعْقِلُهَا وَأَتَوَكَّلُ أَوْ أُطْلِقُهَا وَأَتَوَكَّلُ قَالَ اعْقِلْهَا وَتَوَكَّلْترمذي *Reported in Tirmizi that a Sahabah r.a. asked Rasouloullah Swalallahou `Alaihi Wasallam whether he should tie the rope of his camel first then put trust in Allah or should he leave the rope open and then put trust in Allah. The beloved prophet Swalallahou `Alaihi Wasallam replied: ‘Tie the rope and then put your trust in Allah’*

*Hence when going out on the road, know that our fate depends completely on Allah, but we need to take the means of precaution as part and parcel of the Tawakkul on Allah.*

*When sick, the prophet Swalallahou `Alaihi Wasallam taught us to go see the best doctor, take the prescribed medicine and then put trust on Allah for cure.*

*Nowadays unfortunately our heart`s eyes are conditioned on means only. We think that work give food, medicine give cure, etc. The urge to go in Fi Sabilillah of Tablighi jamaat has the main objective to bring our trust ONLY in Allah Ta`ala and Not means. The cure of incorrect belief is to go in Fi Sabilillah and repeat the wordings of prophets on and on during khurouj: that no one can do except Allah…No one can give except Allah…*

*It is wajib on every individual to do a lifetime effort to take out conviction on means and entrust our faith completely in Allah Ta`ala. Be it tabligh or otherwise.*
