Bismihi Ta`ala 

*THE MODERATE UMMAH:GIVE PRIORITY TO HUMANS.Part 8.*

*Animal population control.* 

*In certain tropical countries, we are witnessing a considerable increase of the bats population. The reason is that these islands have signed agreements with Europe to preserve it from extinction. But now it is not only preserved, but it has reached an overpopulation of bats that is ravaging their crops and fruits. Now, we should add in clause of these treaties that human specie and his food should not be tampered in any case. Priority to men and not to bats. Authorities must act in this direction. We do not say to annihilate the bats, but we simply say to eliminate the surplus and balance the population. Bring a moderation to the population of animals.* 

*The management of the sunnah*

 *At the time of the beloved Prophet Swalallahou `Alaihi Wasallam in Madinah, there was an overwhelming love for dogs. So there was lots of dogs. The greatest leader of all time, the prophet SAW temporarily ordered the killing of dogs. (Muslim) Then after the dog population was balanced, then the prophet said, “Do not kill the dogs.” (Muslim) “What issue they have got against dogs? ” (Muslim)*
و حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ أَبِي التَّيَّاحِ سَمِعَ مُطَرِّفَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ ابْنِ الْمُغَفَّلِ قَالَأَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِقَتْلِ الْكِلَابِ ثُمَّ قَالَ مَا بَالُهُمْ وَبَالُ الْكِلَابِ ثُمَّ رَخَّصَ فِي كَلْبِ الصَّيْدِ وَكَلْبِ الْغَنَمِمسلم  

*Dogs can be kept for necessity of security, farming and hunting.(Muslim) Dogs without necessity is taking out mountains of sawaab from your deed book daily.*

 *It is also written that that when pigeons were overpopulated in Madinah,  Hazrat Usman ra ordered to slaughter some of the pigeons. So that it brings moderation in their presence and their affection. (Istizkaar)*
جاء عن عمر وعثمان رضي الله عنهما – لما ظهر في المدينة اللعب بالحمام والمهارشة بين الكلاب أنهما كانا يأمران بقتل الكلاب وذبح الحمام ففرق بين ما يؤكل وبين ما لا يؤكلقال الحسن بن أبي الحسن سمعت عثمان يقول في خطبته اقتلوا الكلاب واذبحوا الحمامالاستذكار 

*The Moderate Shariah.* 

 *The Shariah has prohibited and made haraam to kill any living being without reason, even though it is an insect. But when animals or insects are harmful to man, then it is permissible to kill animals for the welfare of man. And we should not sacrifice man because of animals. In Europe some extremist vegetarians kill animal hunters merely because they hunt. In India, Muslims were killed simply because they consumed the flesh of calves. All these are foolish and are extremes that the human right should correct and punish.*

  *In fact, the management of the environment of man should be to benefit man, without exception of color, race and religion. We need to talk about it locally and internationally. We need to finish all wars. We have noticed that when the west`s economy deteriorates, then they encourage conflicts to incite wars so that they may increase their arms sales. This is crime against humanity and should be condemned and stopped.*

 *It is very sinful, almost an inerasable sin to kill an innocent human being. The Qur-aan condemns the crime of an innocent human being so heinous and monstrous that it describe the crime as criminality of killing the whole humanity.*

 مِنْ أَجْلِ ذَلِكَ كَتَبْنَا عَلَى بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ أَنَّهُ مَنْ قَتَلَ نَفْسًا بِغَيْرِ نَفْسٍ أَوْ فَسَادٍ فِي الْأَرْضِ فَكَأَنَّمَا قَتَلَ النَّاسَ جَمِيعًا وَمَنْ أَحْيَاهَا فَكَأَنَّمَا أَحْيَا النَّاسَ جَمِيعًا *

Allah Ta`ala says: ‘‘For this reason, We decreed for the children of Israel that whoever kills a person not in retaliation for a person killed, not as punishment for spreading disorder on earth *,

*IS AS IF HE HAS KILLED THE WHOLE HUMAN KIND.*

*And whoever saves a human life, then it is as if he has saved the whole humanity.’’(The Qur-aan: Chapter 5: Verse 32)*

 *You may have noticed that in some countries, the spark of a whole war starts with the calamity of One crime done to an innocent person.**Such is not the case on animal killing. Hence increase our concern to save human lives rather than animals.*
