Bismihi Ta`ala
*THE ENDING NOTE OF ASTAGHFIRULLAH, ALLAHOUMMAGHFIRLI.*
All that have started will end at some point in time. Only the All Mighty Allah has not started. Hence He will not end. He was from always before time began and will stay forever. Because the All Mighty is meticulously perfectionist, He expect excellence in actions and faith. Our beloved prophet Swalallahou `Alaihi Wasallam was scolded only because he joined his eye brows.(Surah 80, Verse 1-10) The beloved prophet Swalallahou `Alaihi Wasallam said: ‘’Allah Ta`ala is pure. And He accepts only purity.’’(Muslim)
As such, after an action one has to ask forgiveness to Allah because the action was done with our weaknesses. As such, to make it accepted to the All Mighty, we have to correct it with istighfaar. So the completion of any time span or action is Istighfaar:Astaghfirullah Astaghfirullah. After every farz salaah, the beloved prophet Swalallahou `Alaihi Wasallam used to say Astaghfirullah 3 times. At the ending mission of the beloved prophet Swalallahou `Alaihi Wasallam, he was ordered to read istighfaar a lot(Bukhari). So he would include this duas in his Tahajjud ruku` and sujud::
Remember that we can include this tasbeeh only in Tahajjud salaahs or Nafils and not any other salaahs. As such, at every ending, we should profusely maximise Istighfaar. At the end of Tahajjud, sehri times, it is emblematic to sahabahs that they would do istighfaar. Allah Ta`ala qualifies those with qualities and excellent actions that they would end their tahajjud with Istighfaar at sehri times:
And those who are the patient, the truthful and the devout who spend in Allah`s way and who seek forgiveness at Sehri times.(3:17) Find also same meaning in ayah (51:18) At the end of long Tahajjud, take the sweep of istighfaar to bring more shine and acceptance in the actions done. And remember that Allah Ta`ala is Oft forgiving, cares for little done and appreciate sincere actions done even if little. During the night of Laylatul Qadr, the best du`a to ask is to ask forgiveness(O Allah, You are definitely Oft Forgiving, You love Forgiveness, so please do forgive me). The beloved prophet Swalallahou `Alaihi Wasallam prescribed Umar r.a. on meeting the best amongst the Tabi`een, a man called Uweis, to ask forgiveness for them.(Muslim) The best du`a a pious can do for you is to ask forgiveness:
Also Nuh a.s. told his people to ask forgiveness. In return, Allah Ta`ala will forgive, send down rain, enrich them and gift them children, wealth, rivers and gardens.(Surah Nuh verses 10-12) And when Hazrat Aisha r.a. requested a du`a from the prophet Swalallahou `Alaihi Wasallam, the beloved prophet SAW did du`a of forgiveness for her:
Reported in Ibn Hibaan that Hazrat Aisha r.a. found Rasouloullah in a good mould. So she seized the opportunity for the prophet SAW to make du`a for her. So the prophet SAW said: ‘’O Allah forgive Aisha for all her past and future sins, done in secret or openly. Hazrat Aisha`s head fell in her lap in ecstasy. The beloved prophet SAW told Aisha: Are you happy? Hazrat Aisha said: ‘’Why should I be happy with this du`a. Then the beloved prophet Swalallahou `Alaihi Wasallam told her: ‘’By Allah! This is the du`a for my Ummah in every salaah that I read.’’(Sahih Ibn Hibaan) Sahabahs used to give everything they had and leave this world indebted due to social contributions and yet they would beg for forgiveness at the time of leaving this world. Reported in Tabrani and i that when Hazrat Umar r.a. felt that his rouh was leaving his body, he put his cheek on the soil, begging Allah for forgiveness:
And the sinless prophet Muhammad Swalallahou ‘Alaihi Wasallam used to ask for forgiveness more than 70 times daily.(Bukhari) May Allah Ta`ala forgive me, you, our family and the whole Ummah. Ameen. And as Ramadhaan is ending, lets recite profusely lots of Istighfaar to repair and shine more our actions that we did during Ramadhaan.
