*THE BLINDFOLD COMPETITION.*

The Qur-aan made a perfect resume of this worldly life:
‘‘Worldly life is nothing but a game, an amusement, a suferficial show of beauty, a boasting between each other and a competition to surpass each other in wealth and as well as in children.’’(54:20)

So people live for a short span trying to exceed each other in a mirage competition that always conclude with a zero score in the grave. It is a game played on dreamland playground whereby the score will have no effect when he wake up in the aakhirah reality. So what the sake of boasting when you know that nothing will last for ever. Like those children that build sand castle near the beach saying that mine is better, mine is bigger…and suddenly a wave just struck the sands and oops everything is gone with the water! Such a game is this world. As the struck of death pangs get hold of the body, the senses of taste already changed in the eyes. That nose that used to be the point of proud and ego now curbs to bend in a dreadful angle of death. The once proud is now trembling to crumble down cold in the white cloth. And yet yesterday he planned for next 10 years. This is the reality of death. Rasouloullah Swalallahou `Alaihi Wasallam said: ‘’Talk a lot on that envy-breaker: death.’’(Ibn Majah)

A man in power should talk more on the days that he had no power and then finally one day the wheel of power will surely change as the world has wheeled as always.Nowadays the super power countries like U.S., China and Russia are competing with each other. In this blindfold competition, they would do their most to pull more country bidders for their sale, attract more countries in their fishing nets to exploit more their resources and finally succeed in the world race of maximising more profits. It is a mirage game. Sometimes in history England had the might over the world. Well today, England is battling down the line against its own fate. 7 centuries ago, the world was not sure about the existence of America. Today the U.S. is said to win the mirage game. Well, tomorrow there may exist an era when there will be no U.S. at all. A massive sea wave may struck down a whole continent. Like this the wheel of power and wealth are turned around the world. Imaam Abu Hanifah r.a. said that wealth is an unstable asset that change hands continuously. Sometimes it is in someone`s hand and tomorrow it is with another. The one bless with power should avoid injustice because injustice will be darkness on the day of judgement.(Bukhari)

In the greed of maximising profits, many forget about their aakhirah and the reckoning life after death. In the greed of maximising profits, the super powers kill, invade, support terrorist states like Israel and India, sip in the raw materials of weak nations by divide and rule moto and create wars to increase their military sales.

Last century super power is no more. This century super power will vanish by the next century. This is the game of the world. The mirage game that has taken our attention from the objective of our aakhirah. The Qur-aan clearly denote the blind covering our eyes from the reality of aakhirah: ‘’the greed to have more.’’
‘’You are distracted by the competition of amassing more than each other.’’(Surah 102)
Until you reach the graves. Mufassirs says that death take out the blind of the human eye and reveal the reality of his creation. Some say that visiting graves brakes the accelerated competition of amassing wealth.

The beloved prophet Swalallahou `Alaihi Wasallam said that nothing will satisfy the human greed. If ever he had a valley full of gold, he would wish more. Then nothing will fill his greedy stomach but the sand(of qabr).(Bukhari)

After a few days in qabr, the belly inflate to explode and then the sands of qabr get in there. Now only that the greedy has become cold!

My beloved brothers and sisters, spare some time of your day and night for the preparation of the aakhirah. The super powers should rather establish the justice of Islam on earth and wear the garment of imaan to benefit others in this temporary world.

Be it India or Pakistan, instead of imposition over the Kashmiris, both should give hand to benefit their middle neighbour: Kashmir.
