In Quran, Allah says to keep it secret when we give zakaat since we are supposed to spend only for His pleasure. When people ask me how much zakaat I gave, is it ok to lie and say that I did not give any zakaat?

Exceptionally, it is good to say, when you know this would encourage others to give. Else other times, keep it secret.
