PROOF OF ANOTHER UMRAH FROM TAN’EEM (Masjid Aisha r.a.) FOR THOSE IN MAKKAH.
During your stay in Makkah, although it is better to perform the maximum number of Tawaaf, but times to times it is good to go perform a Umrah from Tan`eem. The beloved prophet SAW said:’’Do Hajj and Umrah frequently one after the other, as these two annihilate poverty and sins..’’(Tirmizi) So after a pause from your first Umrah, you may proceed to Tan`eem(Masjid Aisha) for another Umrah. The fact that the point of Ihraam for Umrah for anyone staying in Makkah, even as a musafir, is Tan`eem is proven from numerous ahadiths. You need not go to Miqaat for another Umrah.
The beloved prophet SAW was a musafir during the Victory of Makkah and he performed a Umrah from Ji`ranah, not far from Tan`eem (Bukhari):
عَنْ قَتَادَةَ أَنَّ أَنَسًا أَخْبَرَهُ قَالَ اعْتَمَرَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ الْجِعْرَانَةِ حَيْثُ قَسَمَ غَنَائِمَ حُنَيْنٍ بخاري
Hazrat Annas r.a. reported that the beloved prophet SAW put ihraam for Umrah from Ji`ranah, after he distributed the war booty of Hunein. (Bukhari)
This is a proof that the beloved prophet SAW himself, during his stay in Makkah, put ihraam from the boundary of Haram(i.e. Tan`eem, Ji`ranah) and not going to the Miqaat(i.e. Madinah-Zul Huleifah, Jeddah). This is a clear answer to those who instigate that the beloved prophet Swalallahou `Alaihi wasallam did not perform himself Umrah from the boundary of Haram. And know that Ji`ranah is near Tan`eem and hence it is recommended for those doing umrah to go times to times to Tan`eem to put ihraam for another Umrah. And note that this hadith is from Bukhari.
Furthermore the beloved prophet SAW after Hajjatul Wida`(The last and farewell Hajj of the beloved prophet SAW) erranded Hazrat Aisha r.a. to perform a Umrah from Tan`eem with his brother Abdur Rahman r.a.
عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعَثَ مَعَهَا أَخَاهَا عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ فَأَعْمَرَهَا مِنْ التَّنْعِيمِ وَحَمَلَهَا عَلَى قَتَبٍ وَقَالَ عُمَرُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ شُدُّوا الرِّحَالَ فِي الْحَجِّ فَإِنَّهُ أَحَدُ الْجِهَادَيْنِ بخاري
Hazrat Aisha r.a. reported that the beloved prophet SAW sent her with Abdur Rahman to put ihraam of her Umrah from Tan`eem…(Bukhari)
Also note that Imaam Malik r.a. mentioned the same opinion that those in Makkah can put ihraam for another Umrah from Tan`eem in his Muatta Imaam Malik. Imaam Abu Hanifah also hold the same view. Ibn Sireen, imaam Ahmad et Ibn Qudamah also have the same opinion. And know that Hazrat Ibn Abbaas r.a. prescribed those people in Makkah that their point for Ihraam of a Umrah is from Tan`eem (Mustadrak Hakim) :
عن ابن عباس رضي الله عنهما ، قال : « الحج والعمرة فريضتان على الناس كلهم إلا أهل مكة فإن عمرتهم طوافهم فليخرجوا إلى التنعيم ، ثم ليدخلوها » « هذا حديث صحيح على شرط مسلم ، ولم يخرجاه ، وقد أسند عن محمد بن كثير بإسناد آخر
Hazrat Ibn Abbaas r.a.: ‘‘…those in Makkah need only to go to Tan`eem to put ihraam and then enter Makkah again(for a Umrah)…’’(Mustadrak Hakim)
So definitely, the easiest point of formulating intention for another Umrah when you are in Makkah nowadays is Tan`eem(Masjid Aisha r.a.). But when travelling to Makkah from your respective country, then you should do intention of your Umrah and put ihraam as from before Miqaat. HOLDING THE KA`BAH IS SUNNAH!
It is sad that when Hajees and Mu`tamirs comes to hold the curtain of the Ka`bah to supplicate Allah Ta`ala, some hosts of the haram comes to take out muslims from the Ka`bah! According to some of them, it is Bid`ah. And yet it is reported in a sahih hadith of Tirmizi that Ibn Mas`ood r.a. hold the curtain of the Ka`bah.
قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ كُنْتُ مُسْتَتِرًا بِأَسْتَارِ الْكَعْبَةِ فَجَاءَ ثَلَاثَةُ نَفَرٍ كَثِيرٌ شَحْمُ بُطُونِهِمْ قَلِيلٌ فِقْهُ قُلُوبِهِمْ قُرَشِيٌّ وَخَتَنَاهُ ثَقَفِيَّانِ أَوْ ثَقَفِيٌّ وَخَتَنَاهُ قُرَشِيَّانِ
قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ
Allamah Ibn Taimiyah brought a riwayah in his book Minhajus Sunnah An Nabawiyyah that Hazrat Abu Zar r.a. hold the curtain of the Ka`bah interceding of favour of Hazrat Ali r.a.:
منهاج السنة النبوية [ جزء 5 – صفحة 59 ] وعن ابن عباس قال رأيت أبا ذر وهو متعلق بأستار الكعبة وهو يقول من عرفني فقد عرفني ومن لم يعرفني فأنا أبو ذر لو صمتم حتى تكونوا كالأوتار وصليتم حتى تكونوا كالحنايا ما نفعكم ذلك حتى تحبوا عليا
Hazrat Juweiruyyah r.a. hold longly the curtain of the Ka`bah in supplication and du`as. (Akhbaar Makkah):
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ، عَنِ الْأَصْمَعِيِّ قَالَ: ثنا أَبُو عَمْرِو بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ قَالَ: ” بَيْنَمَا أَنَا أَطُوفُ ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ بِالْبَيْتِ إِذَا أَنَا بِجُوَيِّرَةَ، مُتَعَلِّقَةً بِأَسْتَارِ الْكَعْبَةِ، وَهِيَ تَقُولُ: يَا رَبِّ أَمَا لَكَ عُقُوبَةٌ وَلَا أَدَبٌ إِلَّا بِالنَّارِ ؟ ” حَتَّى قَالَ الْمُؤَذِّنُ: اللهُ أَكْبَرُ اللهُ أَكْبَرُ،
Ibn Jawzi brought a riwayah in Sifatus safwah that a lady was making du`as holding the curtain of the Ka`bah :
عن ذي النون المصري قال: كنت في الطواف فسمعت صوتاً حزيناً وإذا بجارية متعلقة بأستار الكعبة وهي تقول: أنت تدري يا حبيبي … من حبيبي أنت تدري
It is sad that to say that the peace and security of the Ka`bah that the Qur-aan established ‘’as place of security’’(3:97) is nowadays trampled upon.
NOTES: IT IS SUNNAH TO HOLD THE KA`BAH IN DU`A AND SUPPLICATION, BUT HARAAM TO CUT OR REMOVE THE THREAD OR CURTAIN OF THE KA`BAH. IT IS SAD THAT SOME MU`TAMIRS THINKS THEY ARE TAKING BARKAT AND HENCE THEY BRING HOME A PIECE OF THE CURTAIN OF KA`BAH. THIS IS AGAINST THE ETIQUETTES OF THE KA`BAH AND IS HARAAM UNLAWFUL. SO HOLD THE KA`BAH WITH RESPECT AND DO NOT CUT OR REMOVE THREAD FROM THE CURTAIN OF KA`BAH.
ALSO IT IS NOT SUNNAH TO WRITE ANYTHING ON THE KA`BAH OR ON ITS CURTAIN. THIS IS REPREHENSIBLE PRACTICE THAT DO NOT HOLD ANY PLACE IN ISLAM. WRITING WITH FINGERS OR ELSE IS NOT SUNNAH. ALSO NOT PERMISSIBLE TO WRITE ANYWHERE IN THE SANCTITY OF HARAMS.
THIRDLY DO MAKE DU`A THAT ALLAH TA`ALA FILLS THE HARAM OF BAITUL MUQADDAS WITH MUSLIMS AS THE HARAMS OF MAKKAH AND MADINAH ARE FILLED. AND NEXT TIME PUT YOUR IHRAAM OF YOUR UMRAH/HAJJ FROM MASJIDUL AQSA-JERUSALEM.
