*NOT TODAY. BUT EVERYDAY IS MOTHER’S DAY.*

For the one who gave you birth, there is not one day for her. Rather everyday care for her and if she passed away, then look after her relatives and make duas for her(if passed away Muslim).

A mother is the person who Allah Ta’ala has chosen as means for your first stable home for your growth in this world: the womb.

“THEN WE PLACED IT(THE TO BE CHILD) IN A FIRM STABLE PLACE(WELL PROTECTED FOR YOUR DEVELOPMENT).”(77:21)

That is why when Rasouloullah Swalallahou Alaihi Wasallam was asked : “Who should I respect and care for the most?” Hé answered: “Your mother”. Asked again : “Then after her, who?” Rasouloullah Swalallahou Alaihi wasallam answered again: “Your mother!” Asked again: “Then after her who?” Rasouloullah Swalallahou Alaihi Wasallam still insists : “Again your mother!” Asked again : Then who? Rasouloullah Swalallahou Alaihi Wasallam answered “Then your father.”(Sahih Bukhari)

*I will tell you a little secret. If today Allah Ta’ala has chosen me to write ✍️ in front of you, it is because i used to massage the feet of my mother. Every night, she used to call me, her last child. to press her feet. So as a child i answered her call. Without knowing i used to press some points of reflexology that used to relieve her. She was a du’as machine. Constantly giving du’as.* *Also through the mashwarah of my teacher Hazrat* *Mufti Radha ul Haq, during studies days, I took her for her last Hajj. I got her du’as, Alhamdulillah.*

*Reported in Nassaï that Rasouloullah Swalallahou Alaihi Wasallam advised a sahabah to forego his errand in jihaad and rather stay to look after her mother. Because jannah is BY HER FEET.”*

*I noticed that those children who massage the feet of their parents got readily accepted by Allah Ta’ala. Imaam Shafi’ee used to kiss his mother’s feet saying “I am kissing my jannah.”*

*So there is no mother’s day. There is everyday care and du’as. To imitate the kuffaar venerating a particular day be it a birthday or mother’s day is pushing you to fall in the same basket as them:*

*Rasouloullah Swalallahou Alaihi Wasallam said: “One who imitate a nation, then he is counted as one of them.”(Abu Dawood)*

*In loving your mother, you cannot disobey your Creator. Because the Creator is the One who created you and is above your mother. Note that Allah Ta’ala was looking after you in the womb of your mother. Not your mother. In fact, In the beginning, the mother ignores that she has conceived:*

*“She has conceived a light pregnancy, such that she walks with it(without feeling anything new).”(7:189)*

*When your mother and your father ignored your existence, Allah Ta’ala was looking after you and metamorphosing you from a drop to a clot and then home you to the protective womb.*

*So you need to be obey Allah Ta’ala first. And after accepting Him as deity, amongst His first prescriptions is to look after your parents.*

“*We commanded man (to be good) in respect of his parents. His mother carried him (in her womb) despite weakness* *upon weakness, and his weaning is in two years. (We said to man,) .Be grateful to Me, and to your parents. To Me is the ultimate return.” (31:14)*

*True that your mother is your first home, but know that soon we will return to Allah Ta’ala soon. So see what you are sowing in actions that you will reap in Qabr. And that on the day of judgement, mothers will look for their saviors running away from their children.

*Reported in Baihaqi that Rasouloullah Swalallahou Alaihi Wasallam said:“One who visit his deceased parents on the day of Jum’ah, then he will be forgiven and he will considered amongst the virtuous.”*

*Fuqahas including Dar ul Uloom Deoband -Fatwa ID: 241-238/B=3/1436-U- have accepted the above hadith for practice.*

*Written in kitaab books that a married woman should be given permission to visit her parents weekly.*

*Also know that children should share equally the days of care to look after their parents if old and need special attention.*
