Bismihi Ta`ala
*NOBLENESS.*
*It is the actions that one performs daily that qualify someone noble or not. Although most of the times, nobleness is inherited, but blood line is not sufficient to show nobility unless practiced and adopted by the children. High stature and rank in front of others irrespective of financial position is an asset that naturally command awe and respect from others. This is only acquired when one act in public and private with human honour, dignity and grace.*
*We need to define these qualities because our modern icons are almost contrary to these values. So that our youth don’t mistake to misjudge popularity with notoriety, because both are equally famous. And also do not mistake artistry with gracefulness, because there are many ungraceful artists that are living in this world, and still looked up by the new generation. Religion is supposed to set the standard of nobleness in the world. Today the world has become an opened small village. All information are available online and hence we find that many religions and sects have failed to set that standard. Throughout generations, educated humans recognized prophets as role model to set the nobleness standard. Be it Adam, Noah, Joseph, Moses, Jesus or Muhammad peace be upon all of them. When prophet Muhammad peace be upon him was asked about the most noble person that lived on this earth, he did not reply ‘’me’’, but rather he said prophet Joseph/Yousuf a.s.was. He was the of the lineage of 4th generation of prophet, starting with Abraham, then Ishaaq and then the father of Joseph: Yacoob a.s.(Nassai)*
*After the conquest of Makkah, the respected prophet Muhammad peace be upon him entered the sacred Ka`bah and prayed in there. Then he came by the door and put his hands on the door frame addressing his decade long persecutors Makkans Qureish who are now under his mercy: ‘’What should be done with you?’’ They answered ‘’You are son of our brother, son of our uncle and you are compassionate the noble one. They repeated these words, admitting that there was no one noblest that the prophet Muhammad peace be upon him. The beloved prophet Muhammad Swalallahou `Alaihi Wasallam replied to them the reply of Yusuf/Joseph: ‘’There is no reprimand on you today. May Allah forgive you and He is the most Forgiving.’’(Nassai) On that noblesse of forgiveness and gracefulness, staunch enemies melted into subordinates followers. They became muslims. The prophet Muhammad peace be upon him taught humanity the secret formula of metamorphosing enemies into the most committed followers.
*ولجأت صناديد قريش وعظماؤها إلى الكعبة يعني دخلوا فيها قال فجاء رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم حتى طاف بالبيت فجعل يمر بتلك الاصنام فيطعنها بسية القوس ويقول جاء الحق وزهق الباطل إن الباطل كان زهوقا حتى إذا فرغ وصلى جاء فأخذ بعضادتي الباب ثم قال يا معشر قريش ما تقولون قالوا نقول بن أخ وابن عم رحيم كريم ثم عاد عليهم القول قالوا مثل ذلك قال فإني أقول كما قال أخي يوسف لا تثريب عليكم اليوم يغفر الله لكم وهو أرحم الراحمين فخرجوا فبايعوه على الاسلام نسائي
*In fact, the beloved prophet Muhammad peace be upon him is the most noble in lineage, character and values. He said:
*عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ الْمُطَّلِبِ بْنِ أَبِي وَدَاعَةَ قَالَجَاءَ الْعَبَّاسُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَكَأَنَّهُ سَمِعَ شَيْئًا فَقَامَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ فَقَالَ مَنْ أَنَا فَقَالُوا أَنْتَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكَ السَّلَامُ قَالَ أَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ خَلَقَ الْخَلْقَ فَجَعَلَنِي فِي خَيْرِهِمْ فِرْقَةً ثُمَّ جَعَلَهُمْ فِرْقَتَيْنِ فَجَعَلَنِي فِي خَيْرِهِمْ فِرْقَةً ثُمَّ جَعَلَهُمْ قَبَائِلَ فَجَعَلَنِي فِي خَيْرِهِمْ قَبِيلَةً ثُمَّ جَعَلَهُمْ بُيُوتًا فَجَعَلَنِي فِي خَيْرِهِمْ بَيْتًا وَخَيْرِهِمْ نَسَبًا ترمذي
‘*I am Muhammad son of Abdullah, grand son of Abdul Muttalib. Allah Ta`ala has created humanity and has made me amongst the best of division. Then He earmarked men into tribes and He made me between the best of all tribes. Then He further categorized them into homes. And He made me born amongst the best of houses. And He made me amongst the noblest of descendants.’(Tirmizi)At the mid-source of the noble ascendant of prophet Muhammad Swalallahou `Alaihi Wasallam is Abraham/Ibrahim peace be upon him. His first son, Ishmael was chosen to pioneer a muslim nation that will have the centre pavilion, Makkah. Prophet Abraham pleaded for a prophet and the glad tidings came that the last prophet will come Ishmael`s progeny. So there was great care to be taken so that the noble lineage be protected and followed.*
*The beloved prophet Swalallahou `Alaihi Wasallam said: ‘’I am blessed with an ascendant nobleness that did not commit fornication. But rather I am from a lineage of marriage from Adam a.s.(Tabrani) Ismaeel a.s. got married to a woman of the tribe residing in Makkah. Ishmaeel a.s. needed a wife that was noble to enhance the nobility in the lineage of the beloved prophet Muhammad Swalallahou `Alaihi Wasallam. Reported in Bukhari that once Ibrahim a.s. visited Ishma`eel while he was absent. Unknowing her father in law, the wife of Isma`eel started to complain about her poverty. So Ibrahim a.s. concluded that she was unfit for the mother of the noble lineage.*
*Nobleness is to keep secret the affairs of the room and the house in front of others. Although, the sharia has prescribed arbitration in extreme non compatibility occurrences. But nobleness requires discretion of affairs until then.*
*In fact noble is the one who stays away from all sins.(Quran) Noble is the one who is not vulgar and does not pretend to be vulgar. Noble is softness and high vision. Nobleness is to forgive freely without vengeance. Nobles correct with exactness and justice. Nobles like children and enjoy family life. A Nobleman give without expecting back. He don’t retake what has been given. In fact all the qualities of Allah is noble. He is the True Noble, Al Kareem.*
*He has chosen Muhammad as a role model of nobleness amongst man. So nobleness is to follow every foot step of the prophet Muhammad peace be upon him. So send more Durood today on the most noble amongst the whole humanity: Hazrat Muhammad Mustapha Swalallahou ‘Alahi Wasallam, the Rasouloun Kareem, The Noble prophet*
*It is said in a hadith that how we lived that`s how we will die. And we will be resurrected as how we died. One who lived on shariah, swam against the islamophobia current with passive patience, spent time in the path of Allah and gave his life in doing Tableegh and Da`wa is Insha Allah amongst the noblemen and noble women right after death. The Quran report of someone killed in an islamophobic society whereby he was doing gusht/calling them to believe in Allah and obey the prophets. After his assassination, he was instantly transported to Jannah saying those words: ‘’I wished that my people knew of what hospitality of Forgiveness that my Lord has bestowed upon me and how He made and treated me amongst the NOBLES.’’(Surah Yaseen)*
إِنِّي آمَنْتُ بِرَبِّكُمْ فَاسْمَعُونِ (25) قِيلَ ادْخُلِ الْجَنَّةَ قَالَ يَا لَيْتَ قَوْمِي يَعْلَمُونَ (26) بِمَا غَفَرَ لِي رَبِّي وَجَعَلَنِي مِنَ الْمُكْرَمِينَ (27)
*May Allah Ta`ala makes us amongst the nobles during our life, at time of death and on the day of Qiyaamah.
