*MIND YOUR LANGUAGE!*

*Hazrat Abdullahi Ibn `Amr radiyallahou `anhouma said: ‘The beloved prophet Swalallahou `Alaihi Wasallam was not vulgar nor did had pretension of vulgarity. And he used to say: The best amongst you is the one who behave with the best of character.’(Bukhari)*

*There is no exception to this application. Be it you are a alim or non alim. Vulgarity and ugly words is against the norm of sunnah and make you fall in public.*

*It has been noticed that some ulamas are being vulgar and use harsh words when they wish to express their difference. Well, a person becomes vulgar when he cannot express a noble language promptly. He is a handicapped of good language. Either his parents did not partake him of the wealth of good manners or he is deprived of goodness of good character. One of the last prescriptions of M Masihullah r.a. was ‘Beauty in face and beauty in expression.’*

*Some people and even ulamas are nowadays using harsh and vulgar words. They have distanced themselves from the Shari`ah and the sunnah. Because our ideal is the beloved prophet Swalallahou `Alaihi Wasallam and the sahabahs. These did not show such ill character like these so called ugly mowlis of this century.*

*A person spit vulgarity because he cannot express himself well and is filled with anger. The more vulgar one become the more you distant yourself from the etiquette of sunnah. And the more you approach the Satanic way.*

 *The Qur-aan orders us to defend the deen of Allah with the best words and the best ways:* ادْعُ إِلَى سَبِيلِ رَبِّكَ بِالْحِكْمَةِ وَالْمَوْعِظَةِ الْحَسَنَةِ وَجَادِلْهُمْ بِالَّتِي هِيَ أَحْسَنُ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِمَنْ ضَلَّ عَنْ سَبِيلِهِ وَهُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِالْمُهْتَدِينَ
*We are asked to use the best of words and speech to persuade the listener or the reader on the way of Haq. The defense also should be the best way although the opposition non muslim party may be using ugly words.*

*And note that there is no exception of you being taking yourself as peak ulamas, whip, pen of the ummah or mouth of the ummah on that issue.**Because the reality of your deeds and their deeds will be opened only on the day of qiyaamah. Then will you know whether you were riding a horse or a donkey. Or may be a pig.*

*The beloved prophet Swalallahou `Alaihi Wasallam said: To swear a muslim is sinning openly. And to kill him is rejecting the deen(kufr).(Bukhari)*

*Nowadays we think that using the most ugly word is eloquence. Never has the sunnah showed such. Nobility and high esteem in front of Allah Ta`ala is the one who use the best respectful words of expression.*

*No one is a more bitter person than Pharaoh in this ummah. And no one is better than Musa a.s. in this ummah. And yet Allah Ta`ala is telling Musa a.s. to talk to Pharaoh with gentleness and with the best of words.(20:44) Because it is the best method of persuasion.*

*Vulgarity spread enmity and increase rebellion of those you target. Ugly words incite physical violence and end up in crimes. Many ulamas in Pakistan were assassinated merely because of assaultive language expression.*

*You see this noble expression starts at home. Hazrat Yacoob a.s. called his young Yusuf son ‘O my beloved son’. The beloved prophet SAW used to call young sahabah ‘O my beloved son’.*

*Politeness and calmness bring beauty to someone. And vulgarity and ugly words defame and denigrate a person.*

*The beloved prophet SAW told hazrat Aisha r.a.: When politeness enter someone then it will decorate it. And when politeness leave someone then it make it unattractive.(Muslim)*
*And those ulamas that are assaulting other ulamas with ugly words should know that they will have to give their good actions to these victims in compensation:*

*The beloved prophet SAW said that a bankcrupt person of this ummah will be the one who will come with lots of good actions but because he swore at some, he accused some others, he ate from others property, etc then he will have to repay compensation with his good actions. In the end he will be thrown in Hell.*

*We have noted that some ulamas like to copy and try to pirate an established name or effort of deen of other ulamas. This is sad and immature. They end up swearing at them and causing confusion in the public. Rather do your share of work of deen with ikhlaas. Your work will be valued. Because life is short. And reckoning later very long*
