Bismihi Ta’ala

 Fatimah ra, the Leader of the women of Jannah.

 حَدَّثَنا سُلَيْمانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، حَدَّثَنا حَمّادٌ، عَنْ ثابِتٍ، عَنْ أنَسٍ، قالَ: لَمّا ثَقُلَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ جَعَلَ يَتَغَشّاهُ، فَقالَتْ فاطِمَةُ عَلَيْها السَّلاَمُ: وا كَرْبَ أباهُ، فَقالَ لَها: «لَيْسَ عَلى أبِيكِ كَرْبٌ بَعْدَ اليَوْمِ»، فَلَمّا ماتَ قالَتْ: يا أبَتاهُ، أجابَ رَبًّا دَعاهُ، يا أبَتاهْ، مَن جَنَّةُ الفِرْدَوْسِ، مَأْواهْ يا أبَتاهْ إلى جِبْرِيلَ نَنْعاهْ، فَلَمّا دُفِنَ، قالَتْ فاطِمَةُ عَلَيْها السَّلاَمُ: يا أنَسُ أطابَتْ أنْفُسُكُمْ أنْ تَحْثُوا عَلى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ التُّرابَبخاري

Reported in Bukhari that when Rasouloullah Swalallahou Alaihi Wasallam was in his agony of death, he became unconscious a few times. When visiting her father, the inseparable and the replica model of Rasouloullah Swalallahou Alaihi Wasallam-Hazrat Fatimah ra seeing her father in pain could not bear herself and exclaimed: وا كَرْبَ أباهُ“Aah! Indeed my father is in great pain.”
Rasouloullah Swalallahou Alaihi Wasallam consoled her: “Your father will no more suffer any pain after this very day.” This conversation between the best of fathers and the best of daughters, the apogée of relationship that one may imagine, these few words were on the Monday morning, the sad Monday, the 12th Rabi’ul Awal 11th year Hijri, the day that Rasouloullah Swalallahou Alaihi Wasallam left us. 
Let me take you to a few past moments between a small girl that was a part and parcel replica of her father, and had the particularity that  paining her was alike paining Rasouloullah Swalallahou Alaihi Wasallam and her happiness rejoiced Rasouloullah Swalallahou Alaihi Wasallam. 
Rasouloullah Swalallahou Alaihi Wasallam said: “She is a fleshly part of me. One who hurts her, hurts me directly.”(Nassai)

الحارِثُ بْنُ مِسْكِينٍ، قِراءَةً عَلَيْهِ وأنا أسْمَعُ عَنْ سُفْيانَ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو، عَنِ ابْنِ أبِي مُلَيْكَةَ، عَنِ المِسْوَرِ بْنِ مَخْرَمَةَ، أنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قالَ: «إنَّ فاطِمَةَ مُضْغَةٌ مِنِّي، مَن أغْضَبَها أغْضَبَنِي»السنن الكبرى للنسائي

Note that Rasouloullah Swalallahou Alaihi Wasallam had 4 daughters and we respect and honour all of them. Unlike the kaafir Shias that believe only in Fatimah ra. 
Khair, hazrat Fatimah ra was the favorite daughter, the one that was requested to dwell close to Rasouloullah Swalallahou Alaihi Wasallam, the only child that lived with Rasouloullah Swalallahou Alaihi Wasallam until His demise and the only one entitled as “The Leader of the women of jannah.”(Bukhari) وقالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: «فاطِمَةُ سَيِّدَةُ نِساءِ أهْلِ الجَنَّةِبخاري

Khair, once Hazrat Fatimah ra saw Rasouloullah Swalallahou Alaihi Wasallam in a lamentable state of tireness and worn cloths when He came back from an expedition, she started crying. Rasouloullah Swalallahou Alaihi Wasallam asked: “Why are you crying? “ She answered that she could not bear the visible physical effects of tiredness of this journey on Rasouloullah Swalallahou Alaihi Wasallam. Rasouloullah Swalallahou Alaihi Wasallam said to her : “Don’t cry O Fatimah! Because Allah Ta’ala sent your father with such a deen that one day will enter every single home  on the surface of the earth, be the house made of mud, wool or hair, to honour the dwellers or else to rule upon them. And this deen will reach where the night reaches.”(Tabrani)

وأخرج الطبراني وأبو نُعيم في الحلية والحاكم عن أبي ثعلبة الخُشَني قل: قدم رسول الله ﷺ من غَزاة له، فدخل المسجد فصلى فيه ركعتين وكان يعجبه إذا قدم من سفر أن يدخل المسجد فيصلي فيه ركعتين يُثَنِّي بفاطمة ثم أزواجه – فقدم من سفره مرة فأتى فاطمة فبدأ بها قبل بيوت أزواجه، فاستقبلته على باب البيت فاطمة فجعلت تقبل وجهه – وفي لفظ: فاهوعينيه وتبكي، فقال لها رسول الله ﷺ «ما يبكيك؟» قالت: أراك يا رسول الله، قد شحب لونك، واخلولقت ثيابك، فقال لها رسول الله ﷺ «يا فاطمة لا تبك فإنّ الله بعث أباك بأمر لا يبقى على ظهر الأرض بيت مَدَر ولا وبر ولا شَعَر إلا أدخله الله به عزًا أو ذلًا حتى يبلغَ حيث يبلغ الليل» كذا في كنز العمال

And when Rasouloullah Swalallahou Alaihi Wasallam was severely injured in the battle of Uhud, then Hazrat Fatimah ra treated the wounds of Rasouloullah Swalallahou Alaihi Wasallam with cloths and water. But when Rasouloullah Swalallahou Alaihi Wasallam kept bleeding, then she burnt some mats in ash and then applied the ash on the wounds. And Alhamdulillah the blood stopped spilling. (Sahih Muslim)

حَدَّثَنا يَحْيى بْنُ يَحْيى التَّمِيمِيُّ، حَدَّثَنا عَبْدُ العَزِيزِ بْنُ أبِي حازِمٍ، عَنْ أبِيهِ، أنَّهُ سَمِعَ سَهْلَ بْنَ سَعْدٍ، يَسْألُ عَنْ جُرْحِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ، فَقالَ: «جُرِحَ وجْهُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ، وكُسِرَتْ رَباعِيَتُهُ، وهُشِمَتِ البَيْضَةُ عَلى رَأْسِهِ، فَكانَتْ فاطِمَةُ بِنْتُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ تَغْسِلُ الدَّمَ، وكانَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ أبِي طالِبٍ يَسْكُبُ عَلَيْها بِالمِجَنِّ، فَلَمّا رَأتْ فاطِمَةُ أنَّ الماءَ لا يَزِيدُ الدَّمَ إلّا كَثْرَةً، أخَذَتْ قِطْعَةَ حَصِيرٍ فَأحْرَقَتْهُ حَتّى صارَ رَمادًا، ثُمَّ ألْصَقَتْهُ بِالجُرْحِ، فاسْتَمْسَكَ الدَّمُمسلم 

Once Rasouloullah Alaihi Wasallam saw her daughter coming from somewhere. He asked her: “What made you come out of your home ? She replied:“I went to help/console the afflicted family that lost one of theirs.” So Rasouloullah Swalallahou Alaihi Wasallam asked her: “Did you reach the cemetery/qabrastaan?” She replied negative due to the fact that Rasouloullah Swalallahou Alaihi Wasallam prohibited  women to visit cemetery/qabrastaan.”(Abu Dawood)
Note here that a woman’s place is in her house  and leaves only when it is necessary. 

 حدَّثنا يزيدُ بن خالدِ بن عَبدِ الله بن مَوهَبٍ الهَمْداني، حدَّثنا المُفضَّل، عن ربيعةَ بن سَيفٍ المَعافِريِّ، عن أبي عبد الرحمن الحُبُلِيِّعن عَبد الله بن عَمرو بن العاص، قال: قَبَرْنا مع رسول الله -ﷺ-يعني ميتًا-، فلما فرغْنا انصرفَ رسولُ الله – ﷺ – وانصرفنا معه، فلما حاذى بابَه وقف فإذا نحن بامرأة مُقبِلةِ، قال: أظنه عرفها، فلما ذهبتُ إذا هي فاطمة فقال لها رسولُ الله -ﷺ-: «ما أخرجَك يا فاطمةُ من بيتِك؟» قالت: أتيتُ يا رسول الله أهْلَ هذا البيت فرحَّمْتُ إليهم ميتَهم، أو عزيتُهم به، فقال لها رسول الله -ﷺ- «فلعلَّك بَلغتِ معهم الكُدى» قالت: معاذ الله! وقد سمعتك تذكر فيها ما تذكر، قال: «لو بلغتِ معهم الكُدى» فذكر تشديداَ في ذلكابو داود

And there she comes finally to meet the last meeting, to share the last whispers, to smile on her congratulations, to cry on the separation, to enjoy the last sitting with her father Swalallahou Alaihi Wasallam, on that Monday morning. Hazrat Aisha ra described her walk the exact replica of Rasouloullah Swalallahou Alaihi Wasallam(Bukhari)

حَدَّثَنا أبُو نُعَيْمٍ، حَدَّثَنا زَكَرِيّاءُ، عَنْ فِراسٍ، عَنْ عامِرٍ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنْ  مَسْرُوقٍ، عَنْ عائِشَةَ، قالَتْ: أقْبَلَتْ فاطِمَةُ تَمْشِي كَأنَّ مِشْيَتَها مَشْيُ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ، فَقالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: «مَرْحَبًا بِابْنَتِي» ثُمَّ أجْلَسَها عَنْ يَمِينِهِ، أوْ عَنْ شِمالِهِ، ثُمَّ أسَرَّ إلَيْها حَدِيثًا فَبَكَتْ، فَقُلْتُ لَها: لِمَ تَبْكِينَ؟ ثُمَّ أسَرَّ إلَيْها حَدِيثًا فَضَحِكَتْ، فَقُلْتُ: ما رَأيْتُ كاليَوْمِ فَرَحًا أقْرَبَ مِن حُزْنٍ، فَسَألْتُها عَمّا قالَ: فَقالَتْ: ما كُنْتُ لِأُفْشِيَ سِرَّ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ، حَتّى قُبِضَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ،

Then when Rasooloullah Swalallahou Alaihi Wasallam passed away, she exclaimed: يا أبَتاهُ، أجابَ رَبًّا دَعاهُ، Aah! O my beloved father! He answered the call of His Lord. يا أبَتاهْ، مَن جَنَّةُ الفِرْدَوْسِ، مَأْواهْ
Aah! O my beloved father ! His abode is Jannatul Firdost.  يا أبَتاهْ إلى جِبْرِيلَ نَنْعاهْ

My teacher, Hazrat Mowlana Choksi sahab db explaining the Aah!  expression of Hazrat Fatimah ra told us that when the heart is full of sorrow, then this expression allows the vapour of sorrow feelings to come out. The sunnah allows a 3 day permission “break” for expression of sorrows on a death in the family. Only a wife will stay for 130 days.(Bukhari)

ثُمَّ دَخَلْتُ عَلى زَيْنَبَ بِنْتِ جَحْشٍ حِينَ تُوُفِّيَ أخُوها، فَدَعَتْ بِطِيبٍ، فَمَسَّتْ بِهِ، ثُمَّ قالَتْ: ما لِي بِالطِّيبِ مِن حاجَةٍ، غَيْرَ أنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَلى المِنبَرِ يَقُولُ: «لاَ يَحِلُّ لِامْرَأةٍ تُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ واليَوْمِ الآخِرِ، تُحِدُّ عَلى مَيِّتٍ فَوْقَ ثَلاَثٍ، إلّا عَلى زَوْجٍ أرْبَعَةَ أشْهُرٍ وعَشْرًا»بخاري 

Because if the vapour of sorrow stays inside, then it causes sicknesses.Note that Rasouloullah alaihi wasallam prohibited shoutings, lamenting forcefully, hitting the face and tearing the clothes.

عند الطبري أيضًا عن زياد بن جبير عن أبيه – فذكر الحديث بطوله في وقعة نهاوند، وفيه: أن رسول الله ﷺ كان إذا غزا فلم يقاتل أول النهار لم يعجِّل حتى تحضر الصلاة، وتهب الأرواح، ويطيب القتال فما منعني إلا ذلك. اللهمَّ إني أسألك أن تقرّ عيني اليوم بفتح يكون فيه عزّ الإسلام، وذلّ يذِلّ به الكفار؛ ثم إقبضني إليك بعد ذلك على الشهادة. أمِّنوا – يرحمكم الله – فأمّنّا وبكينا
