Bismihi Ta`ala
*ARE YOU TRAVELLING FIRST CLASS TODAY?*
Life is a travel. The ultimate destination of this journey is the other world-aakhirah. The beloved prophet Swalallahou `Alaihi Wasallam discouraged us to travel alone. So you need a spouse partner during your life travel. Have the imaan passport and the good actions visa, less you will injure punishment proceeds in the grave and onwards. During this travelling, you are recommended to amass lesser and lesser assets as luggage. Spend them for Akhirah and keep yourself light and without excess luggage. Lust, greed and longing for more wealth is the main deception against the reality of death: ‘’The greed of amassing more wealth has indeed deceived you. Until you visit the graves.’’(102:1-2) The tafseers explain that the intoxicating pursuance of wealth and greed blind the person during his life until his eyes open in the grave. Other tafseers says that visiting graves and recalling of death cure greed and lust. And remember that it is sunnah to visit graveyard for men only on Fridays. Nowadays you see unfortunately both greed and stinginess in many people. This is exactly what is described as Shuh.

We should talk more of death, go in the path of Allah and spend more in sadaqahs to cure the greed and miserliness. We should bring our life on the travelling mode. The beloved prophet Swalallahou `Alaihi Wasallam said to Ibn Umar r.a. :’’Live you life on earth as a stranger or as a passerby traveller.’’(Bukhari)

While travelling, you have the choice to spend the day in the 1st class, the business class or the economy class. In a boat, you have below the economy class also: the lowest deck. In fact the beloved prophet Swalallahou `Alaihi Wasallam categorized his pious and non pious ummati as boarded on a ship. The pious are in the upper deck, the first class. And the non pious are in the lower deck or the lowest economy class(Bukhari). So your piety today will define which class you are travelling today. Be pious and be a first class passenger.

Furthermore, know that the preparation of the class of your day is determined by the time and actions you do when waking up in the morning. If you wake up for tahajjud and read at least 10 ayahs of the Quran, then you have saved yourself from being ghafil and unconcerned of the prescriptions of deen. If no wake up for tahajjud then, according to muhaddithins, your day will be a lazy and unfit one. Because the following hadith is mentioned under the chapter of Tahajjud:
Rasouloullah Swalallahou alaihi wassallam said that when we sleep at night, shaitaan tie 3 knots under our head so that he says: Sleep as the night is long. If one wake up with the zikr of Allah, then first knot untied. Wouzu break the 2nd and tahajjud salaah the 3rd. Else if the knots remained tied then you wake up in the morning lazy, unfit and with a bad mould.(Bukhari)
If one miss fajr salaah, then shaitaan won and piss in his ears.(Bukhari)
Furthermore the beloved prophet Swalallahou `Alaihi Wasallam described classes as to the number of ayahs read during tahajjud:
Rasouloullah Swalallahou `Alaihi Wasallam said that whoever read in tahajjud salaah ten ayahs, then he will not be an unconcerned of deen. One who read 100 ayahs, then he will be amongst the very pious. And 1000 ayahs are those of great share(like mountains). (Abu Dawood)
So the number of ayahs denotes the class you are travelling today.
Rasouloullah Swalallahou `Alaihi Wasallam advised us as travellers to do an effort in the morning, another one in the afternoon and a little bit at tahajjud time. And he promised us that with this moderation, we will reach the destination.
And finally know that even if you are travelling first class, on the upper deck then still you should be concerned with those in the lower deck. Because all classes are travelling on the same boat. And if the lower deck pierce a hole in the boat, then we will all sink.(refer to the bukhari hadith above) So go out to encourage your family and neighbourhood be pious and regular musallis. Because salaahs contribute to the gradual spiritual progress of individuals and society.
